Caroline Kerr
Caroline spent 20 years as a senior television news reporter at ITN. In her role as Business and Economics Editor she interviewed business leaders and senior politicians on a daily basis.Previously, Caroline was a foreign correspondent for ITN covering everything from earthquakes to revolutions. She has reported on major world events including the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the Kobe earthquake in Japan, the Handover of Hong Kong, the emergence of China as an economic superpower, and religious conflict in Pakistan.
Caroline was educated at Newnham College, Cambridge, where she read English. If she hadn’t become a journalist, she probably would have been an English teacher. Perhaps that inclination to pass on knowledge explains why she loves what she does now.
Caroline has also worked for several years as an Independent Editorial Advisor to the BBC Trust.
Max Prangnell
Max is a former senior programme editor with ITN. He began his journalistic career as an investigative reporter with the Sunday Times’ Insight Team.After three years he was lured by the promise of instant fame and a vast fortune as a regional news reporter for Meridian Television; he soon found out that in reality neither was very likely and that he wasn’t very good in front of the camera anyway. Max did, however, discover he was much more comfortable as a programme producer which is where he spent most of his career.
The best job he has ever had was editing News at Ten’s Special reports. The worst was editing the BBC1 programme Kilroy – which he stuck for two years.
Outside of work, Max spends his time planning exotic sailing holidays and trying not to be too grumpy.
Susan Blackburn
Susan was a Senior Producer for BBC News for nearly 20 years. She was the Commissioning Editor on the BBC's flagship Ten O'Clock News, the Political Producer for the Six O'Clock News for the 1997 General Election and the Senior Duty Editor on the day of the death of Diana Princess of Wales.Susan travelled throughout the world for many years covering breaking news stories. She now uses this experience to help organisations and business leaders tell their story to the media, particularly in times of crisis.
She read Modern Languages at King's College London and loves helping people to get their message across in the most effective way.
