Radio studio interviews
How many times have you listened to the radio and thought,
‘he doesn’t know what he’s talking
about’ or, ‘she sounds really dull.’?
There’s a real art to giving a good radio interview
and in some ways, because of its intimacy it’s
harder than television. In fact, one of our clients,
a senior politician, simply refuses to do radio interviews
– he thinks he sounds too boring. As with all
our sessions, you’ll get a second or even third
go, to make sure you get a chance to improve.
In this format our media training will show you:
- How to lift your voice and find the right tone for
the programme.
- How to illustrate your answers and paint word pictures
to keep the audience’s attention
- Why it’s harder to avoid answering direct
questions
- Why the presenter doesn’t appear to be listening
- How a good radio interview can have a greater impact
than an adequate television interview
