Caroline spent 20 years as a senior television news reporter at ITN. In her role as Business and Economics Editor she interviewed business leaders and senior politicians on a daily basis.
Previously, Caroline was a foreign correspondent for ITN covering everything from earthquakes to revolutions. Career highlights include reporting on the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the liberation of Kuwait after the Gulf War and the Handover of Hong Kong.
Caroline was educated at Newnham College, Cambridge, where she read English. If she hadn’t become a journalist, she probably would have been a teacher. Perhaps that’s why she gets such a kick out of training people to face the media.
Caroline is also an Independent Editorial Advisor to the BBC Trust.
